5 cleaning hacks for beautiful windows blinds

Dust is the number one culprit for tired-looking blinds. A soft and frequent clean can make a big difference. 

• For fabric blinds like Duette® or Roman styles, use the brush attachment on your vacuum on the lowest setting 
• Gently sweep across the surface, following the direction of the pleats or folds 
• Avoid pressing too firmly to prevent damaging the structure or fabric 

If you don’t have a vacuum with a soft brush, a microfibre cloth or feather duster works well. For horizontal slats like those on Venetian blinds, try a dry cloth or a purpose-made blind duster that cleans both sides at once. 

If you spot a smudge or stain, avoid soaking the blind. Too much water can distort the fabric or damage metal or wood finishes.
